About us

Who are we? We are the Zuid-West Hoek Linux User Group and our motto is "Free as in Open Source and free as in free beer"

Why are we? There wasn't a LUG in the Zuid-West Hoek and we thought it would be a nice way to come in contact with other Linux users. So we thought it was time to stimulate the Linux activity in this region. A LUG is a subtile and social way to communicate with other Linux users, either to get information, to get help or just to have a nice talk.

Why is your site in English and not in Dutch? We chose to make our entire site English, because then the entire (international) community could benefit from our howto's, articles and blogs.

Do you have meetings? Offcourse we have meetings. Our meetings are every second friday of the month at 20.00 in Bergen op Zoom in "De Teerkamer" (Netherlands, Noord-Brabant).
